Funland The Funland Band

DFWLS-022

Some people will tell you that "The Funland Band" is the best DFW record ever and it's hard to argue against that statement. Three guys who weren't friends, didn't even know each other before forming the band, released something special in 1995. Funland are a band that SHOULD have made it. In the mid nineties when every band with long hair was on MTV and the radio, at the height of their power, Funland split...but they left us with the music. There's no filler on "The Funland Band." Not one of these songs should have been left off. Every song could have been a hit. Wikipedia lists them as a grunge band. The Dallas Observer called them a power pop band. The Edge called them alternative. I say they're perfect. ~ Josh Venable
