The Coffee Nods lone album Grown is the dysfunctional brain child of Ben Rogers, half of DFW’s drive time radio-duo on KEGL The Eagle’s “Ben & Skin Show”. Conceived, written and recorded with his partner in crime, DJ Theory aka Jason Ferrantello, in 2005-2006 — Grown closed the book for Rogers on a career in music just when his voice was beginning to take over the airwaves in Dallas. The album draws on early hip-hop influences and break-beats to create the perfect “rap album for grown humans”.
